David Evinger, with over 30 years of experience in commercial banking and risk management, holds key management roles at both Chain Bridge Bancorp, Inc. and Chain Bridge Bank, N.A. He serves as Director, President, Secretary, and Chief Credit Officer of Chain Bridge Bank, N.A., as well as Director, President, and Secretary of Chain Bridge Bancorp, Inc.
Mr. Evinger joined Chain Bridge Bancorp, Inc. in July 2006 as an Organizer and became Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Chain Bridge Bank, N.A. on August 6, 2007, the day the Bank commenced operations and received its charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In 2018, the Bank Board promoted him to President of Risk Management, and in 2020, to President of the Bank. The Company Board promoted him to President of the Company in 2013, and he was elected to the Company Board in 2016 and the Bank Board in 2018.
Prior to his time at Chain Bridge, Mr. Evinger served as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at James Monroe Bank. He has also held positions in credit and risk management at United Bank, Cardinal Bank, and Freddie Mac. He began his banking career as a credit analyst at Franklin National Bank.
Mr. Evinger holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Marymount University and is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers (VBA) School of Bank Management. He serves as the Chairman of the VBA Lending Executives Committee and on the Advisory Board of the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology at Marymount University. Since 2015, Mr. Evinger has been a faculty member at the Carolinas-Virginia Commercial Lending School of the Risk Management Association (RMA).
